My Approach
To create a portfolio solution that supports photographers, I started by understanding user challenges such as slow galleries, cluttered layouts, poor image quality, and difficult navigation or booking.
Research & Analysis
I studied leading photography portfolios and ran empathy-driven surveys to uncover what photographers and clients expect. Insights showed users prioritize clean visuals, fast loading, easy discovery of work, and clear contact options.
Idea Generation
Research guided the ideation process. I mapped simplified user flows to make browsing images and booking sessions effortless, focusing on visual clarity, minimal steps, and a smooth showcase experience for all photographers.
Design & Testing
I turned concepts into prototypes and tested them with photographers and clients. Feedback highlighted areas to improve gallery navigation, visibility of CTAs, and image presentation, helping validate design decisions.
Iteration and Refinement
I refined layouts, optimized image loading, and enhanced navigation. Each iteration aimed to make the portfolio cleaner, faster, and more immersive, ultimately showcasing the photographer’s work while providing a seamless viewing and booking experience.
